Outreach Program Coordinator 0.8 FTE

We are hiring two Outreach Program Coordinators in the Educational Pathways and Outreach department. One position is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) appointment and the other is a 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) appointment. This posting is for the 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) position. TheOutreachProgram Coordinator coordinates continuingeducation programming youth programming and other academic staffpositionsupportstheplanning development administration and operational management of programmingrelatedtomeeting theinstitutionalgoals of1) being a 12-month active campus and 2) increasing the number of revenue-generating non-degree bearing faculty led initiatives and cross-college programs.

This position will work withinternaland externalpartnerstoorganize the development and delivery ofprograms such as conferencescontinuing education course offerings youth camps and other eventsassigned to the coordinatorassistswith policy development and organizes resources to promote stable and productive relationships between the university addition the individual in this role provides logistical support to the positionreports tothe AssociateDirector of Educational Pathwaysand works collaboratively withtheEducational Pathways and Outreach(EPO)team isanacademic staffannuallyrenewable position.

  • Bachelors degree.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as the lead for registration services for all programs and events supported by the EPO unit:

  • Set up registration for each program or event in collaboration with EPO Program Managers and/or leadership
  • Maintain participation and achievement of learner CEUsand distribute to awardees
  • Maintain enrollment reports for programs and events supported by the EPO Unit
  • Identifiesopportunities for program improvements or new outreach program development.

2. Provide logistical support to the EPO Unit offerings and events:

  • Evaluate recommend and secure program facilities or venues participant materialsappropriate signage and evaluation
  • Serve as the lead for program registration processes and systems
  • Research recommend and make purchasing catering and work requests based on input from the program or event manager
  • Secure organize and provide direction for student and community volunteers
  • Assistprogram or event manager with set-up needs and day of event activities
  • Respond to presenter and participant needs
  • Design implement and summarize program evaluations
  • Compile program final report documents in collaboration with program manager and financial specialist
  • Participates in program evaluation and process improvement
  • Generate anddisseminateappropriate thankyou letters (which may include evaluation summary distribution).

with and serve as back-up to Marketing Specialist:

  • Order participant and presenter premium materials (i.e. bags mugs etc.) in collaboration with marketing specialist
  • Assistmarketing specialist in entering changes for web page maintenance
  • Assistmarketing specialist in email campaigns.

4. Providelogisticalsupport for event presentersand speakers and other duties as required:

  • Collect information on session details title description bio photo
  • Provide handout materials from presenters to participants;Arrange for required audio visual equipment
  • Assistpresenters with travel plans as needed.

UW-Stouts Educational Pathways and Outreach department is comprised of three areas: Continuing Education and Conferences Educational Pathways Stout Online overseen by an executive director.

Continuing Education and Conferences supports the mission of the University of WisconsinStout by providing adult learners with access to university education and resources for the enrichment of their lives both personally and professionally. Their programs and services include conferences and workshops covering a variety of topical areas and program and event planning services.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Competitive salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is a 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) appointment in the Educational Pathways and Outreach department. Typical work hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exact schedule to be determined with the supervisor and occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
