Now were looking for a Backend Engineer to join us in Amsterdam helping accelerate Tises next chapter of growth and innovation. Youll be part of eBays global technology organization while working closely with the dedicated Tise team including frequent collaboration and travel to our headquarters in Oslo Norway where the majority of the Tise team is based. This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of a fast-moving scale-up and one of the worlds largest most established marketplaces.

The Tise team consists of 100 talented colleagues with 30 engineers across Backend Data/Machine Learning Web iOS Android and Growth. While this role is based in Amsterdam youll work as an integrated part of the Oslo-based engineering team collaborating closely across disciplines to build inspiring intelligent and scalable product experiences.

What you will bring:

• Design build and scale our APIs and backend services that power core marketplace functionality

• Primarily work in with Typescript backed by MongoDB

• Occasionally work with our Python Django APIs backed by Postgres

• Partner closely with engineers product managers and designers across Amsterdam and Oslo

• Contribute to high-impact areas such as search recommendations shipping payments growth initiatives and safety on our platform

• Help drive engineering excellence improving architecture testing deployment and operational practices

What you will accomplish:

• Be part of eBays global technology community while building a fast-growing purpose-driven product

• Work from our Amsterdam office with regular opportunities to collaborate in person with the Oslo HQ team

• Help scale a marketplace that makes sustainable living easier and more inspiring

• Influence key architectural decisions in a high-impact engineering role
