APPOINTMENT:1.0FTE Temporary

DURATION: March 11 to June 30 2026 or earlier return of incumbent

Qualifications Required:

1. Education degree plus a Masters degree or an Inclusive Education certificate or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);

2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;

3. ability to:

- lead in the development implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans Learning Support Plans and Annual Instruction plans;

- select and adapt curriculum programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students including those with complex diverse abilities;

- carry out a variety of assessments including classroom observation curriculum-based assessment and diagnostic teaching methods and administration and interpretation of norm-referenced assessment instruments to Level B;

- guide and support education assistant work under the direction of the school principal and provide leadership to the student support services department;

- serve as school representatives when consulting with school district staff and community agencies;

4. effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills;

5. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

6. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
