The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
This is a full time fixed term position for up to 12 months and can be located in any Ahpra office.
The Policy and Project Officer supports the Psychology Board of Australia by contributing to the development review and implementation of registration standards professional codes guidelines and policy. Working within Ahpras Corporate Affairs and Regulatory Governance team the role involves researching regulatory issues coordinating stakeholder consultation preparing Board papers and supporting key projects including Supervisor Training Programs the National Psychology Exam and redesigning the highereducation pathway. This role works closely with National Board members and Ahpra colleagues to ensure consistent contemporary and effective regulation under the National Scheme.
