What we are looking for:
Council is seeking a Project Officer Roads to assist with engineering planning research and investigation activities supporting Councils road traffic and transport infrastructure. This role contributes to effective project coordination stakeholder engagement and the delivery of sound technical advice aligned with Council objectives.
What your day will look like:
- Support engineering planning research and investigation activities
- Coordinate and administer external consultants and project inputs
- Contribute to strategies forward works programs and project submissions
- Provide technical advice on road traffic and transport matters
- Assist with estimates costings project and financial reporting
- Support correspondence CRM management records and documentation

What youll need for success:
- Current Class C or CA Queensland driver licence
- Experience supporting project management activities and investigations
- Ability to interpret and apply technical standards and legislation
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities
Whats nice to have:
- Certificate IV (or higher) in a civil engineering related field
- Experience working in a local government environment
- Familiarity with Austroads MUTCD QUDM and Australian Standards
