Summit Technologies Inc. is seeking an Information Management Officer (IMO) to provide client administration and desktop support services in support of a U.S. Army installation at Fort Sill OK. This role delivers Tier I operational and sustainment support for Microsoft-based client systems enterprise applications and classroom audiovisual technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting enterprise desktop environments Microsoft Intune Army baseline configurations and end-user troubleshooting in a structured DoD environment. You will support mission-critical Army operations in a structured high-impact environment where reliability responsiveness and professionalism are essential. This role offers hands-on technical engagement and the opportunity to contribute directly to operational readiness and training support systems.
Candidates must be eligible for a DoD Secret Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administration and lifecycle management of Microsoft desktop and laptop systems.
- Register and manage client equipment within installation software and asset management systems.
- Establish maintain troubleshoot and delete Microsoft Intune accounts and managed client systems.
- Deliver Tier I support via phone remote access tools and on-site service.
- Maintain operating systems and client applications in accordance with Army baseline configurations service packs patches security fixes and antivirus standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop baseline application and email issues.
- Coordinate standard system image configuration updates with the Network Enterprise Center (NEC).
- Install configure and maintain desktop COTS and GOTS applications.
- Configure Standard Army application systems.
- Perform commercial hardware repair on desktop and laptop systems.
- Assist System Administrators with:
- Testing local client applications
- Security patch validation
- System software installations
- Network hardware configuration testing
- Generate and update technical documentation including:
- Continuity Books
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- User Guides
- Configuration Change Requests
- Use the Army Enterprise Service Desk system to create update modify and resolve support incidents.
- Serve as a technical representative in meetings clearly communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Provide daily on-site Tier I support for classroom audiovisual systems including:
- Hardware and software support
- Networking components
- Microsoft Teams video conferencing systems for FCP classrooms
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 13 years of experience supporting enterprise desktop environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management tools.
- Knowledge of:
- Windows desktop operating systems
- Microsoft Office and email systems
- Enterprise patch management
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience working in a structured DoD or enterprise IT environment preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to support users at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA Security (or DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification).
- Experience supporting U.S. Army baseline systems.
- Familiarity with Army Enterprise Service Desk tools.
- Experience supporting classroom AV and Microsoft Teams environments.
