Young Harris College Graduate Programs

The Office of Graduate Programs at Young Harris College invites applications for adjunct instructors of Leadership and Supervision beginning July 1 2026. The Master of Science Leadership and Supervision is an accelerated cohort based graduate degree program delivered asynchronously that prepares the adult learner with the knowledge and skills to think critically and creatively to develop the supervisory and leadership competencies essential to meet the demands of todays rapidly changing business environment.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to teach curriculum in decision making supervision team leadership organizational change and negotiation. We seek candidates who enjoy asynchronous teaching and working with graduate students to help them increase performance in their current role and prepare them for the next phase of their career journey. Strong applicants from management leadership and human resource disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. Ed.D. or DBA in management business administration human resources or degree in a closely related discipline to receive consideration for graduate adjunct appointment. Terminally degreed candidates with executive level career experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate should be flexible collegial and strongly committed to teaching curriculum in the online asynchronous instructional modality. Experience instructing with or demonstration of ability to develop online instructional skills is essential for consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Teach an assigned course load in an accelerated cohort based 8-week session.
  2. Develop engaging content delivered in an online asynchronous format that is inclusive student-centered and meets the learning needs of adult learners in a supportive liberal arts environment.
  3. Build strong relationships with students that increases student retention and program completion.
  4. Provide insight and contributions to improve the program curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Adjunct Instructor must hold a terminal degree (Ph.D. Ed.D. or DBA) in management business administration leadership human resources or a closely related degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution.
  • Graduate Adjunct Instructor must demonstrate experience instructing in or demonstrate ability to develop online instructional skills by completing the Young Harris College Online Instructors Course.
  • Graduate Adjunct Instructor must demonstrate commitment to timely responsiveness to student questions or concerns grading of assignments and posting of grades.
