Job Description:
- Assist in Planning and Facilitation of Design Den.
- Staff Mayborn Museum Makerspace Design Den during open hours. This includes preparing supplies set-up and tear down facilitation and testing and prototyping activities.
- Provide high quality customer service while communicating and engaging with visitors using making and tinkering facilitation strategies.
- Support Museum Engagement Spark Team student employees & occasional volunteers in Design Den ensuring they are comfortable and well trained in the space.
- Work to keep storage closets and supplies organized.
- Monitor supply inventory and coordinate reorders with STEM Programs Coordinator. - Assist in Planning and Facilitation of STEM Programs
- Help with events and programs (activities). This will include gathering supplies testing and prototyping activities facilitating (leading/supporting) set-up and tear down. - Evaluation Observations Reflection
- Research innovative ways to evaluate Design Den & STEM programs
- Take detailed observations at STEM events both qualitative and quantitative and assist in documentation
- Participate in weekly or bi-weekly reflection meetings to discuss tinkering practices and Design Den programming - Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Assist with covering on Museum Engagement team as needed with general museum programming
