Job Description:
Takes quality medical X-rays ordered by medical providers. Must be familiar with various X-ray techniques. Must be knowledgeable in the use of digital X-rays. Maintains appropriate documentation and records.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current valid unrestricted certification as a CRT issued by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.
- Current valid unrestricted certification issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
- Current completed PSVs obtained via the Arizona Department of Health Services and AART.
- Current completed fit testing for N95 particulate respirators.
- Minimum one year of past work experience in this position.
Required Skills:
Conduct patient evaluations histories and physical exams for new and follow-up cardiology patients Manage and monitor patients with cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension coronary artery disease atrial fibrillation heart failure and hyperlipidemia Order and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs Holter monitors echocardiograms and stress tests Assist in care coordination for procedures or specialty referrals Provide inpatient cardiology consults and follow-ups (if applicable) Participate in hospital rounds discharge planning and transitions of care Educate patients and families on lifestyle changes medications and disease management Collaborate closely with supervising cardiologists primary care providers and support staff
Required Education:
Current and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one National certification (AANP ANCC or NCCPA) BLS and ACLS certification required 12 years cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred; strong new graduates with relevant rotations or RN cardiology background considered Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable working independently with physician support EMR experience
