Job Summary
We are seeking a technically minded Technical Sales Consultant to drive business development and provide solution-based sales within the industrial automation and infrastructure sectors. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen and enjoys building relationships with clients across engineering and municipal environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities developing tailored technical solutions and supporting clients with advanced systems related to telemetry automation and monitoring technologies.

Job Description:
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities within industrial and municipal sectors
- Provide technical consultation and solution-based sales for telemetry automation and monitoring systems
- Prepare technical proposals quotations and system recommendations aligned with client requirements
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to design practical and cost-effective system solutions
- Conduct product demonstrations technical presentations and site visits with clients
- Support project handovers and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and implementation process
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in technical sales or practical engineering experience within industrial automation or infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of telemetry systems PLC automation and SCADA platforms
- Understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure systems
- Familiarity with CCTV infrastructure and monitoring systems is advantageous
- Strong communication negotiation and client relationship management skills
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions
Qualification:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Electronic Engineering Mechatronic Engineering or a related technical field
- Previous experience in technical sales or application engineering is advantageous
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
