Job Summary

We invite applications for the temporary position of:

  • 1.0 FTE Grades 8/9 Enter2 District Program Teacher
  • Hybrid program Monday/Friday at home learning Tuesday-Thursday in class instruction.
  • Please note this temporary position will end on June 30 2026 or upon return of the incumbent.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide direct instruction mini-lectures and tutorials across all core subject areas (Math Science Humanities etc.) to supplement and clarify the online curriculum.
  • Guide students through their daily schedules helping them transition between direct instruction and independent work on their online modules.
  • Create a structured yet flexible classroom atmosphere that supports both focused academic work and collaborative projects.
  • Use Brightspace as the primary source for content delivery.
  • Track student progress through the online modules daily to ensure they are keeping up with the pacing for all subjects.
  • Assess and provide feedback on drop box assignments within Brightspace ensuring students receive guidance even on their home learning days.
  • Adapt the delivery of the online curriculum where necessary to meet the needs of students with IEPs or diverse learning styles.
