Judge & Priestley is pleased to open applications for our 2026 Vacation Scheme designed specifically for university students aspiring to a career in law.
We are a leading regional law firm serving a diverse range of national and international commercial and private clients from our Head Office in Bromley. Established in 1889 we have developed into a modern progressive practice with a strong commitment to diversity inclusion and developing talent from within.
The Vacation Scheme 2026 will run over one week with two available intakes:
- Week commencing 6th July 2026
- Week commencing 3rd August 2026
What to Expect During the Scheme
Our structured oneweek programme will give you valuable exposure to life at a progressive regional law firm:
Department Rotation
Over the course of the week you will shadow two departments giving you broader insight into different legal practice areas and enabling you to gain practical exposure to the work of our Solicitors and Legal Assistants.
Skills Development
You will have the opportunity to attend a CV and interview workshop with our Head of Talent Acquisition offering tailored guidance on:
- How to present your experience effectively
- How to stand out in competitive legal applications
- Insight into what law firms look for at earlycareer stages
Insight into J&P
You will also learn more about Judge & Priestley as a firmour work our people our values and our approach to developing future legal talent.
To apply for our 2026 Vacation Scheme
- Be a university student with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Law
- Be able to attend one of our offices
- Be at least 16 years old
- Have accurate keyboard skills and strong IT literacy
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Info
Applications for our vacation scheme are reviewed in April each year and successful candidates will be contacted in early May to be offered a vacation scheme placement at the Firm. Judge & Priestley will only accept applications for our vacation scheme via our online application form. Vacation Scheme placements are not remunerated and candidates must be at least 16 years of age and have the legal right to work in the UK in order to apply due to the sensitive nature of the work we undertake. Due to the large volume of applications that we receive we will only be able to contact and provide feedback to successful candidates.
