Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a WO to serve as DMS Digital Application and System Manager at DMS Whittington on FTRS HC Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS) with an initial proposed start date of May 2026. or earlier/later subject to formal establishment and candidate status).

DMS Digital provides Digital Project Delivery Live Service Support Information Governance and Compliance and Data products to the Defence Medical Services (DMS)

The Application and Systems Manager ensures the stability performance and compliance of DMS digital applications by overseeing day-to-day operations incidents changes and lifecycle management. The role acts as the delegated service owner coordinating suppliers and stakeholders to deliver secure reliable and user centred digital services aligned to ITIL and DDaT standards.

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operation of digital applications ensuring availability performance capacity and timely updates.
Coordinate the response to service issues by managing incidents investigating problems and organising changes.
Lead user impact management for updates by coordinating testing assurance and communications
Prepare documentation and evidence to support security data protection clinical safety and records compliance.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to deliver application support resolve issues and plan releases.
Maintain accurate system information access permissions and operational guidance to ensure service consistency.
Drive continual service improvement by identifying risks recommending enhancements and supporting lifecycle planning.
Carry out additional duties as required by the Chain of Command.
