Your role
- Monitor and manage ground improvement activities such as vibro-compaction stone columns dynamic compaction grouting soil mixing and geosynthetics installation.
- Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved designs specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections quality checks and field testing of soil improvement methods.
- Assist in interpreting geotechnical design drawings and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
- Record and report site data including soil test results progress updates and quality assurance documentation.
- Liaise with project managers design engineers and clients to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with equipment operators and suppliers for timely availability of machinery and materials.
- Prepare daily site reports and communicate progress/issues to management.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Promote safe working practices among site teams.
About you
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in site execution of ground improvement or geotechnical works.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering and Masters in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Familiarity with soil testing methods geotechnical equipment and construction practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under challenging site conditions.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel abroad for short-term and long-term assignments.
- Work well with and form relationships with others including the client team other disciplines and contractors at all levels (junior senior) inside and outside the business.
- Flexible attitude to the type of work undertaken level of responsibility given and work location.
- Have experience coordinating with other disciplines in multi-discipline projects.
- Strong communication skills independent working presenting and influencing skills.
- Information Management platforms (ACC BIM360 etc.).
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
- Exposure to international practices is an advantage.
- Experience with international infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Engineering Geology and Construction Methods.
