What does the role involve

Reporting to the Philanthropy and Development Manageryoullplay a keyrole in growing Caritas Australias philanthropic income through Trusts & Foundations.Youllpartner with external agencies Programs and internal stakeholders to deliver high quality applications and stewardship.


Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Workingclosely with our Programs team to gather project detailsbudgetsand evidence and turn complex information into clear compelling grant narratives.
  • Research and prioritise new Trusts and Foundations opportunities supported by ourStrategicGrantsagencypartner and your manager to help grow our philanthropic income.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive grant applications and reports contributing to a smooth highquality grants lifecycle.
  • Support stewardship of philanthropic partners including coordinating meetings preparing updates and getting involved in funder engagement activities that help you build your relationshipmanagement skills.

This roleisbased in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model including two days in the office per week.

Who are we looking for

Werelooking for someone who isenergisedby purpose and passionate about using their writing skills to createa realimpact. You love translating complex program information into clear compelling stories that resonate with funders.Yourenaturally curious collaborative and bring a creative solutionsfocused mindset to your work.You will bring a mix of the following qualificationsskillsand experience:


  • 23 years experience inGrants or Trusts & Foundations including handson involvement in preparing applications coordinatinginputsand managing deadlines.
  • Experience using CRM or grantsmanagement systems with confidence navigating digital tools and applying responsible use of AI inday-to-daytasks.
  • Ability to interpret budgetsguidelinesand reporting requirements supported by strong attention to detail and good judgement.
  • Strong organisational and relationshipbuilding skills enabling you to work effectively across teams and with external partners while managing multiple priorities.
