Responsible for executing completing and ordering all daily allocated and authorized purchase requests and order in line with current business practices of Fraser Suites.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the optimum procurement solution by obtaining quotations from suppliers to purchase the best product and services at adequate quality for the best price at the required timeline.
- Manage the relationships with suppliers and contractors to include negotiations new supply and cost savings.
- Manage purchasing tasks that include seeking quotations preparing cost comparison sheets preparing documentation for financial approvals issuing purchase orders in system follow up on deliveries.
- Complete all administrative procedures concerning allocated requests and orders.
- Ensure best quality for all received orders upon order allocation confirmation.
- Verify any concerns regarding received purchase requests data concerning description units quantities and specifications directly with the initiating department.
- Check and ensure that all approved and authorized purchase orders are timely forwarded to the concerned vendors.
- Manage purchasing and payment status reports supplier registers and performance.
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal claimants to achieve compliance with systems procedures and processes.
Education
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent technical experience in Procurement
Experience
- 2 years hotel experience in a similar capacity with minimum 5 years in procurement function.
- Advance purchasing knowledge familiarity with local supply at the area of operations
Technical/ Skills
- Competency in ACCPAC SAP HIS Epitome Microsoft applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) Vingcard and related hospitality proprietary software packages.
- Competent Oral and Written English Communication Skills
- Strong organisational and work co-ordinating skills to handle multiple assignments and projects
