Job Duties

To support and assist in the day-to-day facility management at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center and the management of events related to public health


Core Responsibilities:
Provides coordination scheduling and communication with vendors and contractors
Troubleshoot and coordinate the service and repairs of equipment and technology
Creates work orders
Liaise with the janitorial vendor on site to ensure facilities are maintained
Assists with the coordination of events
Contributes to event evaluations and reporting
Serves as the Emergency Coordinator and the backup Asset Steward
Performs research and analysis on specific issues as required
Assists the Associate Director with the management of the card access system
Ability to lift and move -50 pounds unassisted; requires frequent walking standing and bending

Minimum Qualifications

Effective interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to work in fast paced environments
Experience supporting various technology tools and platforms
Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft 365
Experience using TDX OIT ticketing service system and TMA Facilities work order system

Additional Considerations

A bachelors degree or higher in business management or equivalent education training and experience
Experience using the Tripleseat Event Management Platform
