Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Specialist III for the Brandt Behavioral Treatment Center and Retreat within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The primary purpose of the Mental Health Specialist III is to ensure the safety of residents and assist them in carrying out activities of daily living. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides input into the development of Individualized Service Plans/Recovery Plans. Coordinates with supervisor and residential staff to implement residential service plan goals for residents. Engages consumer/residents in appropriate interventions based on Service Plan and supervisory directive. Provides services and interventions that promote consumer/resident strengths and that develop the independence and sense of autonomy of all consumer/residents. Demonstrates awareness of relevant organization and residential policies procedures and requirements. Completes all forms residential logs medication records incident reports and correspondence as per regulatory requirement. As required by individual program monitors daily census sign-in sheets to ensure accurate consumer/residents entry to and departure from program. Ensures that all relevant attendance records and logs reflect the consumer/residents attendance.
