Who are we looking for
Our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation team is seeking an experienced EnvironmentalProject Manager with a strong background in Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) remediation and reclamation in the oil & gas sectorto be based out of either our Edmonton or Calgary Alberta offices.
The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 10 years of experience and be capable of leading environmental projects such as Phase 1 ESAs Phase 2 ESAs remediation groundwater monitoring programs and wellsite and pipeline reclamation activities along with preparation and submission of associated reporting to the Alberta Energy Regulator. This individual will be expected to exude competence in project management practices and be proactive in building and nurturing solid client relationships helping drive revenue growth in the addition this individual will be responsible for coordinating site assessments with the collection of field information analysis of environmental data and generation of environmentally responsible solutions to meet regulatory obligations and site closure for our clientele.

Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model involving a combination of in-office collaboration and the flexibility of working remotely. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute connect and excel in our vibrant from home occasionally to allow convenience and enhance focus time when needed. Field work may be required periodically in this role but it is primarily office-based.

As part of a diverse global team you will work on complex and rewarding contaminated site related projects in both the oil & gas industry as well as a variety of provincial and federal commercial and industrial sites and have opportunity to be at the forefront of driving technological advancements.
Responsibilities
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Contaminated Sites Investigation and Remediation Design:Design (or enable others while being accountable for) engineering and scientific solutions to bring sites to closure through assessment remediation and/or risk assessment that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration - participate in a team environment working closely with other Project Coordinators Project Managers Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads as well as Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers to progress contaminated upstream oil and gas sites towards closure.
- Professional Supervision:Provide effective professional supervision of environmental practitioners professional development. Implement and supervise project resourcing systems and processes to ensure timely delivery of services meeting client requirements and budgets with strong technical abilities.
- Project Leadership: Oversight of projects from proposal through to execution in accordance with our project management and quality performance metrics.This will include leading a portfolio of projects reporting to the Business Group Leader (BGL) on both federally regulated and provincially regulated projects for several clients. Note: experience working with oil & gas sites is required.
- Client & Customer Management (External):Manage important client relationships and engaging with industry networks; working with the BGL to ensure the team is functioning to deliver an enhanced client experience.
- Health Safety Quality and Environment:Monitor and review performance against health safety quality and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organizations policies procedures and mandatory instructions.
- Culture of Innovation:Drive a culture of innovation by creating multistakeholder solutions that boost creativity innovation and collaboration across business units.
