Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is seeking a STAFF SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program engineering and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The chosen candidates role will be maintaining engineering models developing system architecture diagrams and collaborating with Integrated Product Teams.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
- Work with the planning team to create conceptual data models and data flows
- Design develop and document systems that contain logical solutions using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility
- Implement data strategies and developing physical data models
- Coach team members on developing the requirements architecture design and implementation in the model
- Assist with task prioritization and task delegation to meet overall IPT goals and objectives
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Math) discipline and at least 12 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline and at least 10 years of related professional/military experience OR a STEM Ph.D. and at least 8 years of related professional/military experience
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Cameo models or similar tools Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
- Innovative capable of multitasking and possess strong systems engineering knowledge adaptable to fast-paced environments and agile methodologies
- Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products in Cameo or similar tools
- Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering
- Must have experience modeling software systems and software system of systems
- Must have familiarity with network commercial cloud and platform infrastructures
- Must have familiarity with containerized software architecture
- Must have experience modeling in a software product line engineering (PLE) environment
- Must have experience with Systems engineering tools (i.e. Cameo Suite) and Agile framework
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Modeling and Simulation
- Familiarity with MagicGrid Methodology
- Familiarity with Digital Engineering processes and environments
- Knowledge and experience with the definition of MOSA Modular Open Systems Approach and interfaces definition development and control
- Experience in integrating complex system across multiple domains
- Experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
