Seasonal Social Services Assistant

As part of the Karis Disability Services District Office team the Seasonal Social Services Assistant works alongside the Community Development Managers and the Learning and Development Manager to gain experience in developmental services operations researching event planning fundraising and data information management and organization. They will participate in researching training/educational resources and opportunities for people learn about and support some fundraising efforts and support planning upcoming organizational events. They will also provide administrative and information management support to Community Development and Learning and Development.
The Seasonal Social Services Assistant will respect and uphold the Values Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees persons supported and both internal and external stakeholders. Requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program for this position:
- The candidate will work 35 hours a week for approximately 12 weeks;
- Be between the ages of 18-30 at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian Citizen permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
