The Opportunity

Due to ourAcciona MACA AECOMAlliancebeing selected as the preferred bidder on the northern package of the North East Link we are seeking to appoint aLead Document Controllerworking out of the Bundoora office.

The Project

The Acciona MACA AECOM Alliance has been selected as the preferred bidder on the northernpackage of the North East Link. This covers design and construction between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works includethree kilometres of new freewaytwo kilometresofnewfreeway upgradesconstruction ofretaining wallsand bridge structures rail interface works intelligent transport systemsandurban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be completein2028.

Key accountabilities for the position

  • Leading in the set up and integration of Document control process and systems on the project

  • Lead train and mentor junior/intermediate Doc controllers

  • Develop document control procedures and guidelines

  • Review and process documents with high levels of detail

  • Provide technical writing skills for document creation and formatting

  • Effectively managing the control and distribution of all relevant documentation for the project including:

  • Ensuring the Project/Site office and subcontractors always have the most up to date project documentation

  • Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery

  • Educate NEL Alliance personnel in the efficient use of the NEL Alliance collaborative system

  • Ensuring timeliness and accuracy are implemented with daily duties

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Preferable 7 years experience in the Document Control field

  • Large scale construction projects experience highly desirable but will consider people from other sectors

  • Display a high level of communication skills and be able to work as part of a high performing and collaborative team

  • Experience leading and mentoring other Doc control and admin support staff
