As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Springfield IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations communicate clearly with site staff and visitors and provide a customer-focused experience while supporting a team that values agility reliability innovation and integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific procedures and/or access requirements and by communicating directions and assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents requests for assistance and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions policy violations and/or maintenance issues and report observations through required verbal notifications and written documentation.
• Complete required activity logs incident reports and shift briefings and support security-related emergency response activities as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
