Job Summary
ThePortage County Solid Wastedepartment is looking to hire a seasonal part-timeLitter Collection Aide.This position will work 2 - 8 hrs / week in March - November and on an as needed basis in December 2026.
Starting pay is $14.06 / hr
The primary job duties include:
- Removes litter and other garbage/debris from the grounds using garbage bags hands litter pickers and or rakes and then putting it into garbage bags or trash carts.
- Properly dispose of litter/garbage in the Transfer Facility.
The qualified candidate must have the following knowledge skills and abilities:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Maintain composure while picking up putrid smelling items.
- Must be reliable and timely with completion of duties
Qualifications of position:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
