Short Description
ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSE Orthopedics Camden NJ
The Bone Health Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a critical role in the expansion and further development of the Bone Health Program supporting both inpatient and outpatient services with a strong emphasis on wellness prevention quality and outcomes.
This role serves as a clinical cornerstone of the Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) and the Geriatric Hip Fracture Program facilitating ambulatory fracture care secondary fracture prevention and longitudinal bone health management. The Bone Health APP collaborates across orthopaedics geriatrics primary care rheumatology other specialties and rehabilitation to improve patient outcomes reduce length of stay (LOS) and drive performance on key quality metrics.
Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to perform in a fast environment. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proficiency in strong computer (EHR) Epic preferred and IT system capabilities i.e. Microsoft Office Excel Word PowerPoint.
Experience Required
Orthopedic experience (preferred).
Education Requirements
Masters Degree - Nurse Practitioner
License/Certification Requirements
NJ Nurse Practitioner licensure and American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
