Job Summary
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location - Syracuse NY
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:30)
Duration: 26 Weeks
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced intensive care environment while providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
Monitor and assess patient conditions including cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation using the facilitys electronic medical record system.
Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
Float to other units within the nurses skill set as needed at management discretion.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience.
Active RN License in the state of New York.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
Must pass a hospital-proctored rhythm identification exam with:
80% accuracy in rhythm identification
100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms
Experience with Epic electronic charting system.
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required.
