As a Armed Security Officer - Driver Patrols in Reno NV you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a professional service-focused presence. You will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents and respond to concerns with clear communication and calm decision-making. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license with opportunities to partner with onsite teams while living our values of agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents alarms and requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and public authorities as needed.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements Allied Universal policies and site-specific post orders including proper weapon handling retention awareness and documentation of all weapon-related activity.
- Control access for employees visitors and contractors using security-related screening procedures verify credentials as required and complete detailed reports of daily activity incidents and observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
