As an Instrumentation Technician you keep site operations safe compliant and efficient by delivering reliable maintenance calibration and technical support. You maximise equipment reliability minimise downtime and help meet production and testing schedules.
You contribute to Engineering and Maintenance goals by owning your work continually building your technical and troubleshooting skills collaborating with technicians engineers and production teams and maintaining high standards for execution documentation and GMP compliance.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include however not limited to:
Technical Execution and Operational Support
Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and equipment to schedules SOPs and GMP requirements
Plan and complete daily tasks with the maintenance scheduler supervisor and operations
Respond to breakdowns diagnose faults and implement fixes to minimise downtime and product impact (including oncall support)
Support planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities
Documentation Quality and GMP Compliance
Complete maintenance and calibration records to Good Documentation Practice
Record equipment failures corrective actions and investigation outcomes
Support audits inspections and required training for your systems and equipment
Continuous Improvement
Identify and investigate equipment issues deviations and recurring faults
Apply structured problem solving (e.g. root cause analysis)
Help implement corrective and preventative actions and suggest improvements to maintenance reliability safety and cost
Leadership and Collaboration
Work closely with technicians engineers and production to resolve issues and meet site priorities
Share knowledge on the job and support team initiatives
Challenge existing processes where you see opportunities to improve quality safety or efficiency
What You Must have
Recognisedengineering qualification or trade certificatein a relevant discipline
Practicalinstrumentation and calibrationexperience in an industrial or process environment
Experience withelectrical equipment and PLCs(e.g. wiring level transmitters flowmeters)
Strongproblemsolvingskills including data and trend analysis for troubleshooting
Highattention to detailwith accurate compliant technical documentation
Clearverbal and interpersonal communicationand effective teamwork skills
Competence withMicrosoft applicationsand basic computer systems
Willingness toparticipate in an oncall rosterand support future shift patterns
Ability to work in acontrolled regulated environment(GMP or ISOregulated production preferred)
Experience (Advantageous)
Pneumatics / hydraulics
Refrigeration / HVAC systems
Utilities such as water steam gas and compressed air
GMP/GLP or ISO 9000 in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated production environment
Structured problemsolving tools (e.g. fishbone analysis HOP)
Additional Microsoft tools (e.g. Project Access)
