Job Opportunity: Construction Manager Location: Bay Pines FL
Start Date: April 1 2026
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)Make a Difference for VeteransFrench Consulting is seeking Construction Managers to support EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center. These are full-time on-site roles providing construction management coverage throughout the entire construction period. The Construction Managers work alternating shifts to ensure continuous on-site oversight whenever the General Contractor is working.This role is ideal for a construction management professional with healthcare or federal facility experience who takes pride in quality compliance and getting the details right in a mission-critical environment.What Youll DoConstruction Management- Coordinate and manage the submittal review process
- Review and monitor project schedules with an emphasis on milestone completion dates phasing requirements workflow material deliveries and test dates
- Provide field verification of as-built drawings and updates of as-built drawings
Inspections & Quality Control- Perform routine inspections of construction as work proceeds
- Compile comprehensive lists of defects and omissions from site inspections; submit to contractor for correction
- Monitor independent testing agencies for quality control services (soils concrete steel fireproofing roofing glazing elevator etc.)
Who You Are- A detail-oriented construction professional who holds high standards for workmanship and code compliance
- Experienced in active healthcare facility construction with a strong understanding of infection control and phasing requirements
- Organized and dependable you keep accurate records meet reporting deadlines and communicate proactively
QualificationsEducation- Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Technology or Construction Management
- Additional 3 years of relevant construction management experience can substitute degree requirement
Experience- Minimum 3 years of relevant construction management experience. Relevant experience includes experience with:
- Hospital information technology/low voltage infrastructure construction or maintenance;
- Design and construction of healthcare infrastructure;
- Infection control during construction within active hospital setings;
- Project phasing to maintain hospital operations;
- Commissioning hospital infrastructure systems; and
- Familiarity with engineering and construction codes and stndards (ASHRAE NFP FL Building Code NEC etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices techniques and proper application of construction materials and methods
Certifications & Clearance- OSHA 30 certification within the last 5 years (required within 60 calendar days of NTP if not already held)
- Must be a United States citizen and obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI) and VA PIV card
