What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors staff and vendors by carrying out security-related screening procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate walk-through metal detectors hand wands and X-ray screening equipment to help identify prohibited items; resolve alarms in a calm service-focused manner.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification processing visitors issuing badges and/or passes and directing individuals to the appropriate destination.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying the appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct periodic checks of screening areas queues and nearby entry corridors to help identify unusual activity maintain order and report concerns per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 3 years combined law enforcement military and/or have a college degree in Criminal Justice.
• Mininimum of 5 years of security related experience
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of Public Safety Academy
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state county and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
