Job Summary

Senior Procurement Engineer - Hardware

Location - Chennai

Industry - Solar Wind Energy

Key Responsibilities

1. Hardware Procurement (Primary Responsibility)

Manage end-to-end procurement of electrical and hardware components used in solar /wind projects (Major components loggers switches Sensors etc)

Interpret project BOQs and specifications to ensure accurate material sourcing

Identify evaluate and negotiate with vendors on pricing delivery timelines payment terms and quality

Prepare and process RFQs comparative statements purchase orders and vendor f inalizations

Ensure procurement is completed within approved budgets and project schedules

Coordinate closely with engineering project and finance teams for approvals and execution

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base for solar and electrical hardware

Conduct price benchmarking and continuous cost optimization

Resolve vendor-related issues including delays shortages or quality deviations
