Job Summary
Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region. WHISPERING RIDGE COMMUNITY SCHOOL is located in Grande Prairie Alberta. The school has an approximate student population of 575 students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.
We are accepting applications for a TEMPORARY FULL TIME ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL (AP) for the period August 31 2026 to May 12 2027.
We are seeking an educational leader who is committed to student learning equity and wellness and who possesses the skills and work ethic to engage students staff parents and the community in the development of a research-driven student centered learning environment. We are seeking a leader who is truly committed to on-going professional learning and is adept at supporting all staff in their own professional growth.
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Current Alberta Teachers Certificate
- You aspire for excellence in all competencies of the Teaching Quality Standard and Leadership Quality Standard
- You are committed to a research-driven professional practice and are able to work as part of a collaborative team
