Job Summary

Inline is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Technologistto provide on-site design and drafting support for our field crews in the Northwest region of the USA. This role is responsible for day-to-day project execution safety performance quality assurance scheduling and strong client relations.

This position follows a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rotation. With Canadian hubs based out of Toronto Vancouver Edmonton and Calgary. While on rotation the CAD Technologist is expected to be on-site for the full duration of the shift and available to support operational requirements as scheduled.

WhatYoullBe Doing:
  • Survey Calculations Utilize Civil 3D tocreate 3D linework surfaces alignments profilessubassemblies gradings andcorridors (roads rail etc.). Prepare designfiles for survey field crews.
  • Survey As-Builts& Data Management Integratesurvey as-builtsand UAV datasets to track quantitiesand provideproject deliverables.
  • Collaboration with Teams Work with project managers engineers and other stakeholders from the projects start to completion. Support design teams and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Field Support Assist with managing a team of surveyors performinga variety of industrial and civil survey tasks.
  • Client & Team Communication Actively communicate with clients project teams and supervisors to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Quality Control & Compliance Participate in the ISO 9001 Quality Program andmaintaininline standards to ensure project quality and safety.
WhatWereLooking For:
  • Experience 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician with a focus on civil and surveying drafting.
  • CAD Expertise Proficient inCivil 3D including corridor creation grading and managing large data sets.
  • Surveying Experience Knowledge of industrial and civil surveying tasks including working with UAV datasets.
  • Attention to Detail Strong skills in technical drafting quantity tracking and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent Communicator Clear communication with clients engineers and project managers to align project needs and expectations.
