The Enterprise Risk and Compliance team sits within the 2nd Line Risk division with accountability for all Risk and Compliance activity across ASX. The Risk and ComplianceFrameworkteam operates as a secondline function responsible for the design and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and Policies (including Compliance) Risk Culture Policy Governance Risk Capability and Accountability Frameworks to Industry and regulatory best practice standards with particular emphasis reflecting ASXs role as a steward of Critical Market Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

Seniorleadership

As apeople leader acore part of this rolewill be theresponsibility to role model the ASX Leadership Principles. Including:

As a senior leader within Risk you will alsobe responsible for:

  • Establishinga governance structure that enables the team at all levels to effectively manageoutcomesrequiredoftheteamacross a diverse group of stakeholdersincluding the Line 1 and
  • Improving the operational riskand complianceenvironment and culture within your direct team and across the wider Risk division.

Role specific

  • Drive risk and compliance maturity by leading the design andsupporting theimplementationof the risk and compliance frameworksincluding RiskCultureand Code of Conductsupported bybest practicegovernance standards.
  • Drive theeffective implementation and integration of the Compliance Management Framework from Regulatory change through tomonitoringits implementation in the business and
  • Drive the Risk Management Capability Framework and plan to continuously uplift Line 1 and Line 2 risk capability as relevant.
  • Ensure the ERMF and Risk Appetite Statement are currentremain relevantand fit for purpose.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of key risk and compliancepolicies andproceduresthat support the ASX Enterprise Risk ManagementFramework including associated trainingad change management to foster a strong risk culture and effective maturity of the Framework.
  • Perform theASX Group Risk Profile assessment of all L1 and L2 non-financial risks.
  • As a Risk ownerdrive the assessment monitoring continuous improvementon theLevel1 and Level2 risksfor the Enterprise.
  • Lead the Board and Committee reporting process for therisk and compliance relatedEnterprisereporting provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Drive Enterprise level monitoring activities across relevant Risk and Compliance policies and procedures.

People

  • Lead and coach team members to continuously develop capability build high performing collaborative and engaged teams enabled by robust talent and development plans balanced performanceprioritiesand roles descriptions.
  • Establish a governance structure that enables the team at all levels to effectively manageoutcomesrequiredoftheteamacross a diverse group of stakeholdersincluding the Line 1.

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. risk management compliance law financeeconomicsor a related field).
  • Extensive seniorlevel experience in risk management and regulatory compliance including the design and execution of enterprise risk strategies within complex matrixed financial services organisations.
  • Deepexpertisein risk management conceptsframeworksand tools with a proven ability toidentify assess and manage key nonfinancial risks across an enterprise environment.
  • Deep Risk and Compliance capability withdemonstratedexperienceprovidinghighquality advice insight and challenge across risk management financial markets largescale projectdeliveryand regulatory remediation programs.
  • Demonstratedability to clearly articulate complex risk and compliance matters to audiences at all levels including executive leadership and boards and to positively influence risk culture and behaviours.

  • Proven experience engaging with and managing executivelevel steering committees and governance forums including the ability to shape discussion drive outcomes and support informed decisionmaking.
  • Strong facilitation influencing and negotiation skills witha track recordof building trusted collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups subject matterexpertsand senior leaders.
  • Experience improving Operational Risk environments and culture and large-scale enterprise-wide risk transformations.
