As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls you are part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions satisfying pre-defined functional and user requirementswith the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior. As an emerging member of the security engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical area while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.

You will work as a Security Engineer for one of our key Tech GRC products: Findings and Response Management (FARM).

FARM is the strategic platform for how new control findings of an asset are created managed evidenced and closed. FARM facilitates the prioritization and efficient treatment of findings with a single methodology to classify control findings and a normalized scoring framework.

Job responsibilities

• Executes standard security solutions in accordance with existing playbooks to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g. product platform and application owners)
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Applies specialized tools ( scanner) to analyzeand correlate incident data toidentify interpret andsummarize probability andimpact of threats whendetermining specificvulnerabilities
• Supports delivery of continuity-related awareness training educational activities andexercises
• Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
• Experience developing security engineering solutions
• Proficient in coding in one of more languages such as Java
• Experience in UI technologies like Angular or React
• Experience in writing SQL queries database management concepts JDBC and persistence API frameworks like Spring JPA.
• Strong hands on coding experience in Core java 11 REST API Spring Boot Spring modules Hibernate Junit Mockito .
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD application resiliency and security
• Working knowledge of information andnetwork security IT riskmanagement and architecturalconcepts and patterns

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Experience with public/private Cloud technologies (Cloud Foundry AWS Azure etc.)
• Possess Cloud certification as an AWS certified developer/cloud architect
