As a Measurements Technician II (Ion Exchange & Metrology Technician) you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and quality within Corning s advanced lab environment. You will be responsible for the measurement validation and maintenance of metrology equipment support ion exchange processes and contribute to continuous process improvements. This position requires a high degree of analytical skill attention to detail and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams of technicians engineers and scientists. The role offers the opportunity to participate in high-impact projects and to contribute directly to the development and execution of innovative processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily validations and measurements using metrology equipment; support glass measurements and ion exchange processes.
- Track and document expenses prepare training materials and assist in lab supply research and selection.
- Ensure weekly compliance with 5S standards across all applicable labs.
- Edit and manage Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures; participate in safety and process hazard reviews.
- Create and update SOPs Job Aides PPEHAs and JSAs.
- Participate in development project teams acting as a liaison between Metrology and IOX teams for knowledge transfer.
- Provide coverage and troubleshooting for all measurement process and training issues within IOX Labs.
- Drive continuous process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining compliance with systems and product requirements.
- Apply scientific methods to solve lab issues and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs).
- Interface with product teams to align with business priorities and maintain strong understanding of product goals.
