Job Title: Certified Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: 19600 E Ross St Tahlequah OK 74464
Shift: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38.50/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join a fast-paced surgical services team. This role is responsible for the decontamination sterilization inspection assembly and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment while ensuring strict adherence to infection control and sterilization standards.

Key Responsibilities

Decontaminate clean and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
Assemble and prepare surgical trays and instrument sets
Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves Steris washers and ultrasonic cleaners
Ensure all instruments meet sterilization and quality standards before use
Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
Support surgical teams by ensuring timely availability of sterile instruments
Handle specialty surgical equipment including Arthrex Steris Olympus and related systems

Unit Overview

Patient Population: Adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions and surgical needs.

Facility includes:
4 inpatient operating rooms
5 outpatient operating rooms
2 outpatient endoscopy suites

Requirements

Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification required)
AHA BLS certification required
Pediatric surgical tray experience required
Experience working with Arthrex Steris Olympus equipment preferred

Schedule & Call Requirements

Shift: 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
Call Requirement: Approximately 6 days per month
Weekend Call: 1 weekend per month

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs or business casual depending on department guidelines
