Job Summary

Private Family in the Upper East Side New York Seeking a Full-Time Nanny
(Summer in the Hamptons; Academic Year in NYC)

Position: Full-Time Nanny (Live-In Summer / Live-In or Live-Out in NYC)
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends
Salary: $40$45 per hour depending on experience 2 weeks PTO holidays off paid health insurance stipend
Start Date: Early June


About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a professional experienced and nurturing full-time nanny to care for their two young daughters. The position will begin in June at the familys Hamptons home where the nanny will be live-in from June through August before transitioning back to the familys primary residence on the Upper East Side in the fall.

The family has a daughter who will be turning 3 in June and they are also welcoming a new baby girl due in mid-March. The parents are looking for someone who is warm thoughtful and proactivesomeone who will become a trusted partner in raising their children and supporting their development.

The family values kindness good manners and respectful behavior and they hope to find a nanny who shares these values and can guide the children with warmth while also setting appropriate boundaries.

Children:

  • One daughter 3

  • One infant due mid-March


Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive nurturing and developmentally appropriate care for both children including infant care and toddler engagement.

  • Support the childrens physical emotional and cognitive development ensuring age-appropriate developmental milestones are encouraged.

  • During the summer months in the Hamptons drive the older child to and from summer camp as needed.

  • During the school year in New York City walk the child to and from her half-day 3s program coordinating schedules with parents.

  • Prepare the children each morning for school or activities including getting dressed and ready for the day.

  • Plan thoughtful creative and engaging activities when the children are not in school or camp including educational play outings and enrichment opportunities.

  • Research and identify local classes programs and activities appropriate for both children and proactively organize participation.

  • Provide attentive infant care including feeding nap schedules and developmental play and take the baby to age-appropriate activities.

  • Prepare healthy breakfast and lunch for the children each day.

  • Maintain organization of childrens belongings play areas and daily routines.

  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules development and activities.

  • Travel with the family for occasional short domestic trips with the possibility of international travel approximately once per year.

  • Offer schedule flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends particularly when the mother travels for work.

The ideal candidate is warm loving and highly reliable with a genuine passion for working with young children. They should be proactive and organized able to anticipate the childrens needs and create enriching daily routines that support both fun and learning.

This family is seeking someone who balances warmth with structuresomeone who can guide children with patience and kindness while reinforcing manners and respectful behavior. Strong communication skills flexibility and a calm positive demeanor are essential.

The right candidate will enjoy planning activities exploring the city and local communities with the children and creating a nurturing environment where the children feel safe supported and encouraged to grow.


Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a nanny in a private household

  • Experience with toddlers and infants required

  • Excellent references

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record

  • Comfortable driving children when required

  • Ability to live-in at the Hamptons residence during the summer months (JuneAugust)

  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally

  • Highly dependable organized and proactive
