Position Overview The Arizona Department of Water Resources (AZDWR) is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support ongoing projects within the Information Technology Division. This role focuses on delivering high quality software solutions using industry best practices in architecture coding standards and development processes.
The developer will collaborate with Business Analysts functional users and cross functional teams to design build maintain and improve applications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong Salesforce expertise excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive impactful technical solutions aligned with the agencys mission.
A hybrid work schedule (onsite remote) is available.
Key Responsibilities -
Design develop implement and maintain applications on platforms including:
- Salesforce
- MuleSoft
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Oracle

Conduct deep-dive analysis and reverse engineering of existing codebases to apply fixes enhancements and optimizations.

Participate in planning architecture review design and implementation of new applications and system features.

Ensure all application interfaces and integrations align with updated technologies state regulations and agency standards.

Develop technical documentation for application specifications configurations and system processes.

Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to support agency-wide application needs.

Apply business knowledge to support mission-critical systems improve processes and enhance operational capabilities.
Required Experience - Minimum three (3) years as Lead Developer on at least one Salesforce implementation.
- 7 years of total development experience or Bachelors degree in Computer Science.
- Proficiency in:
- Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
- Salesforce development configuration and administration
- API development
- SQL / relational databases (SQL Server Oracle)
- MuleSoft integrations
Knowledge & Skills Technical Knowledge - Salesforce development best practices including Apex Visualforce LWC Flows and Integrations.
- Public Sector Solutions configuration and customization.
- API development and middleware integration (MuleSoft required).
- Strong understanding of relational databases and ETL processes.
Professional Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear documentation.
- Ability to refactor and optimize existing system designs.
- Strong attention to detail and customer-centered problem resolution.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Abilities - Work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
- Prioritize workload and balance multiple project demands.
- Adjust plans and solutions in response to stakeholder feedback.
- Deliver high-quality scalable and maintainable code.
