Job Summary

- Serve as a Software Engineer within Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) focusing on performance measurement and analysis software for the Wealth Management division.
- Participate as a key member of a new agile scrum development team contributing to a strategic technology initiative.
- Design and develop scalable robust software solutions using Java and/or Python Spark (Java or Scala) and cloud technologies (AWS Docker EKS).
- Build and maintain ETL solutions business intelligence systems databases and data lakes (e.g. Snowflake Oracle).
- Apply expertise in SQL and modern DevOps tools (Maven Jenkins GitHub Terraform Docker Artifactory) to build and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis design coding testing deployment and ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely cost-effective and maintainable software delivery in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Conduct code and design reviews ensuring adherence to standards and best practices for coding security and performance.
- Develop and implement monitoring and alerting tools to identify failures or performance issues proactively.
- Demonstrate strong analytical organizational and communication skills while managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving requirements.
- Provide guidance motivation and support to fellow engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Interface with business and technology stakeholders presenting technical concepts to a variety of audiences and managing client expectations.
- Preferred: Experience in the Financial Services industry.
