About the Opportunity
Star Nursing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Hand Therapy to join a rehabilitation clinic setting serving orthopedic and upper extremity patients.
This role focuses primarily on hand therapy while also supporting general orthopedic rehabilitation as needed. The ideal candidate has experience in splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation and is comfortable managing a diverse outpatient caseload.
Position Details
- 1.0 FTE
- Flexible scheduling options: 4x10s or 5x8s
- Outpatient rehabilitation setting
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide skilled therapy services to hand therapy and orthopedic patients
- Fabricate splints and support upper extremity rehabilitation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients on injury prevention and recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Oregon Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hand therapy experience
- Splint fabrication experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered care approach
