Electrical Design Technician Rogers AR

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Design Technician in Rogers AR to support a team of experienced engineers and consultants delivering electrical design solutions for building this role youll assist with analysis design and implementation oversight of electrical systems while coordinating with cross-functional teams to help meet project goals client expectations and budget parameters.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of electrical systems and the production of detailed designs specifications and calculations per applicable code requirements and IMEG standards
• Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
• Support lower complexity design tasks and collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions
• Participate in IMEG quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards industry standards and client requirements
• Stay up to date with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices; contribute to research development and innovation efforts within IMEG as needed
• Prioritize safety in all aspects of design work; help identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with electrical systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (including other engineers architects and project managers) to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
• Help assemble contractor installation packages for arc-flash labeling labels and circuit directories; coordinate delivery to the correct contractors and project locations
• Help assemble documents needed by engineers for site visits including scheduling support and tracking deadlines for deliverables

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Associates degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred
• Prior experience in the building design consulting or construction industry preferred
• Revit experience preferred
• Knowledge of design techniques tools and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Familiar use of Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Knowledge in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
