Technical Design 2

The Structures Company is seeking a Technical Design 2 at Hill AFB in UT.

A Technical Designer is needed to support the Minuteman program out of Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) located in Ogden UT. This position will be responsible for performing design drafting and configuration management tasks associated with Engineering Data. This includes creating new or revision of existing drawings 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Modeling configuration management of drawings etc. The Technical Designer will meet regularly with program managers and leads to coordinate workload and priorities.

Position Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain engineering drawings
Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs
Investigates and resolves moderately complex manufacturing process or engineering related issues
Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others
Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design
3D Model existing equipment

Required Skills:
Experience with Computer Aided Design tools (AutoCAD CATIA & NX)
Experience in Microsoft tools (Word Power Point Excel)
Ability to read interpret and following blueprints diagrams engineering drawings specifications bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures
Knowledge of assembly and production processes manufacturing capabilities and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g. design definition program directives engineering drawings wiring diagrams and schematics functional tests supplier data)

Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in Design Engineering
Experience effectively communicating and collaborating with multi-discipline teams
Experience with identifying required material types for parts and components
Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g. design test)

Typical Experience Qualifications:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
