Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a healthcare facility in New Mexico. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician to provide direct patient care administer medications monitor patient conditions and support overall clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders and care plans
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice
- Monitor patient vital signs and observe patient conditions
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including mobility hygiene and comfort care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Communicate patient status updates to RNs physicians and care teams
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety standards
- Support admissions discharges and patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care rehabilitation or hospital settings
- Experience working with geriatric or post-acute care patients
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand walk bend lift and assist patients throughout shifts
- Ability to safely transfer and reposition patients when required
