Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a contract opportunity in Hawaii. The ideal candidate is a highly organized independent and efficient clinician with strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan.

Triage assess and prioritize patients based on acuity.

Respond to and participate in Stroke STEMI and Trauma activations.

Administer medications and IV therapy with proficient IV skills.
-
Monitor and document patient conditions using electronic medical records.
-
Adhere to core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.

Deliver patient-centered care aligned with AIDET principles and patient satisfaction standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Equipment & Systems
Experience with the following is preferred:
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
-
Experience with high-acuity emergency cases
-
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Required Certifications & Licensure
-
Active State of Hawaii RN license (must apply upon offer acceptance if not currently held; license required prior to start)

BLS (Basic Life Support)
-
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
-
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
-
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
-
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
Schedule & Shift Information
-
Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts
-
Scheduled 80 hours per 2-week period
-
Shift assignment determined upon arrival
-
One on-call shift per roster
-
At least one weekend off per roster
-
Holiday coverage required
Floating
Floating may be required per nursing administration and will only occur within the nurses demonstrated clinical competencies.
