Experience driving automation standardization and operational efficiency across infrastructure platforms
Experience in Terraform Ansible Devops Github and Citrix technologies
Expertise in L3/L4 incident management root cause analysis and preventive engineering
Capability to evaluate new technologies and make architecture and tooling recommendations
And Good to have
Certifications in AWS Azure GCP VMware or Nutanix
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation ARM)
Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD integrations with infrastructure platforms
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization tools
Experience working in MSP / large enterprise environments with 24x7 operations
Knowledge of ITIL service management and governance frameworks
Exposure to SRE practices reliability engineering and advanced observability tools
Experience in data center migration cloud transformation or modernization programs
Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills for architecture reviews and leadership forums
Roles & Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing implementing and governing end-to-end infrastructure solutions across on-prem hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The role involves architecting and managing Windows RHEL and Oracle Linux platforms; leading virtualization solutions using VMware and Nutanix; and designing operating and optimizing cloud environments on AWS Azure and GCP. Supporting the Ansible Terraform Devops Citrix and Github technologies. The architect will ensure high availability performance security backup and disaster recovery
across all platforms provide L3/L4 support for critical incidents drive root cause analysis and preventive improvements and lead automation monitoring and cost optimization initiatives. The role also includes defining standards and best
practices supporting audits and compliance managing vendors and stakeholders mentoring engineering teams and producing architecture documentation to enable scalable secure and reliable infrastructure services aligned with business objectives.
Operating Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server RHEL Linux and Oracle Linux
including installation configuration hardening patching and troubleshooting
Virtualization: Proven expertise in VMware (vSphere ESXi vCenter) and Nutanix platforms including HA
clustering storage integration and performance tuning
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
covering compute storage networking IAM monitoring and cost management.
Hybrid Infrastructure: Experience designing and managing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures with
secure connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments
Experience in Terraform Ansible Devops Citrix and Github technologies.
Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of TCP/IP DNS DHCP load balancing firewalls
and network segmentation
Security: Knowledge of OS hardening IAM encryption vulnerability management backup and
disaster recovery best practices
Automation & Monitoring: Experience with automation tools scripting (PowerShell Bash) and infrastructure monitoring/alerting solutions
Incident & Change Management: Expertise in L3/L4 troubleshooting root cause analysis (RCA) and enterprise change management processes
Documentation & Architecture: Ability to create HLDs LLDs runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Responsibility of Automation & Configuration Management Engineer / Expectations from the Role
Design define and maintain end-to-end infrastructure architecture across on-prem hybrid and multi-cloud environments
Define technology standards best practices and governance models for infrastructure services
Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations aligned with business and scalability needs
Architect deploy and manage Windows Server RHEL Linux and Oracle Linux environments
Lead system hardening OS patching upgrades and lifecycle management
Ensure optimal performance capacity planning and resource utilization
Troubleshoot complex L3/L4 system issues and drive permanent fixes
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for critical infrastructure components.
Architect and manage VMware and Nutanix platforms (compute storage clustering)
Design and implement HA DRS fault tolerance and failover mechanisms
Plan and execute data center consolidation virtualization upgrades and migrations
Optimize virtualization environments for performance resilience and cost efficiency
Design deploy and operate cloud environments on AWS Azure and GCP
Architect secure VPC/VNET designs identity access models and network segmentation
Implement cloud services for compute storage load balancing and scaling
Drive cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and resource governance
Ensure cloud environments meet security compliance and availability standards
Design hybrid connectivity between on-prem data centers and cloud platforms
Implement workload migration strategies including re-hosting re-platforming and modernization
Ensure seamless integration monitoring and operational visibility across environments
Ensure infrastructure aligns with security frameworks compliance requirements and audit standards
Implement OS hardening access controls encryption and vulnerability remediation
Design and maintain backup disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity solutions
Participate in audits and ensure remediation of identified gaps
Drive automation for provisioning configuration and operational tasks
Implement monitoring alerting and observability solutions for infrastructure platforms
Establish SRE-style reliability practices SLAs and uptime targets
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions
Govern infrastructure changes and releases through formal change management processes
Ensure minimal downtime and business impact during planned and unplanned events
Work with OEMs cloud providers and service partners for solution delivery
Review vendor proposals licensing models and support contracts
Provide infrastructure cost estimates forecasts and optimization plans
Act as a technical bridge between business application security and operations teams
Salary Range: $120000-$140000 a year
