Job Summary

Job Title- Senior Jira Forge Developer

Location Austin TX/Remote within USA

Contract 1 year

Strong hands-on Forge development for Jira Cloud (senior-level delivery ownership).
React JavaScript/HTML/CSS for UI build-out.
Strong Jira REST API experience for automation/integration/data work.
Working knowledge of Jira administration concepts (schemes permissions issue types) to design workable enterprise solutions.
Strong SDLC Git-based development practices.

Experience: 6 10 years (with strong recent Jira Cloud/Forge delivery)
Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Jira Cloud apps/extensions using Forge for CUSTOMER Jira Cloud requirements.
Build UI features using React HTML/CSS/JavaScript for Forge-based plugin UX.
Implement integrations/automation using Jira REST APIs for custom workflows data extraction and system integrations.
Create custom plugins/integrations leveraging Forge Atlassian SDK exposure (where applicable to the CUSTOMER ecosystem).
Contribute to CUSTOMER initiatives involving Jira development for custom functionalities and integrations (including sync to Snowflake) when required.
Own deliverables end-to-end: estimate execute and deliver per agreed sprint velocity with engineering discipline.
Adhere to dev guidelines (code check-in branching strategy) and ensure quality compliance with limited repeated peer review findings.
Work on CUSTOMER-style execution model: assigned Jira tickets delivery and iterative plugin rollout.
Participate in project reviews reporting administrative tasks and provide first-line support for issues related to delivered services.

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on Forge development for Jira Cloud (senior-level delivery ownership).
React JavaScript/HTML/CSS for UI build-out.
Strong Jira REST API experience for automation/integration/data work.
Working knowledge of Jira administration concepts (schemes permissions issue types) to design workable enterprise solutions.
Strong SDLC Git-based development practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

Programming exposure beyond JS (e.g. Java/Groovy/Python) as seen in CUSTOMER expectations for developer-background roles.
Familiarity with relational DB concepts (Postgres/MS SQL) and data manipulation for integration-heavy use cases.

Experience with Jira Cloud migration support context where Forge is a plus.
