We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst & AI Implementation Specialist to join our growing team. This is a unique role that blends deep private markets domain expertise with a forward-looking orientation toward AI-enabled process transformation.
The initial engagement for this role centers on a high-priority initiative: mapping the end-to-end deal flow process for a private lending client and designing a suite of AI-powered tools to enhance each phase of that workflow. From origination and screening through underwriting committee approval and closing you will document the current state identify high-value automation and augmentation opportunities build prototypes and help drive implementation.
This role is designed for someone who is already excellent at business analysis and process design in the private markets context and who is either actively developing AI and prompt engineering skills or eager to do so with our support. Over time this position is expected to grow into a full AI Implementation lead role - one of the most valuable professional profiles in financial services today.
What Youll Do
Deal Flow Process Mapping & AI Design
- Conduct structured discovery sessions with client stakeholders across origination underwriting credit and operations to document the current deal flow process end-to-end
- Identify friction points manual workflows redundant steps and decision nodes that are high-value targets for AI augmentation
- Develop detailed process maps workflow documentation and gap analyses that serve as the foundation for AI tool design
- Design and prototype AI-assisted tools for each phase of the deal lifecycle - from deal screening and data extraction to credit memo drafting and pipeline reporting
- Collaborate with clients to test iterate and refine prototypes managing feedback loops across operational and senior stakeholder groups
- Deliver a phased roadmap for implementation with measurable milestones and a clear picture of the improved process state by year-end
AI Implementation & Prompt Engineering
- Develop and refine prompts for tools including BlueFlame AI ChatGPT Claude and other platforms to support deal flow research and reporting workflows
- Build Blueprints custom GPTs and workflow automations tailored to client operating environments
- Stay current on AI tool capabilities and continuously identify new ways to create client value through emerging features and platforms
- Contribute to internal knowledge base and methodology around AI implementation in private markets
Client Engagement & Advisory
- Lead and facilitate ideation sessions working sessions and presentations with client teams including senior leadership and Partners at PE and private credit firms
- Translate complex technical AI concepts into clear compelling narratives for business audiences - speaking the language of private markets not technology
- Build trusted advisor relationships with clients by demonstrating deep fluency in both their domain and the AI tools being deployed
- Prepare high-quality deliverables including process documentation implementation roadmaps training materials and executive presentations
What Were Looking For
Experience & Background
- 10 years of experience in a business analysis operations consulting or strategy role within private equity private credit direct lending or an adjacent financial services sector
- Hands-on familiarity with the private lending deal lifecycle - from origination and pipeline management through credit underwriting approval workflows and closing processes
- Prior experience leading process mapping requirements gathering or workflow design engagements ideally in a consulting or advisory capacity
- Exposure to deal management platforms such as DealCloud Allvue or similar systems is a plus
- Experience with AI tools and prompt engineering or a demonstrated eagerness to develop these skills rapidly with the support of our team

The IT Business Analyst Private Credit is responsible for supporting technology and business initiatives aligned with private credit investment lending and portfolio management operations. This role partners with front office credit risk operations and technology teams to gather requirements analyze data flows and deliver scalable solutions that enhance deal lifecycle management loan servicing reporting and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

- Experience supporting financial systems such as loan management platforms investment accounting systems or portfolio management tools.
- Proficiency in SQL Excel and data analysis tools for financial data validation and reporting.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data mapping API integrations and system interfaces.
