JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Mechanic III
LOCATION: Appleton WI
PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform safe assembly and fitting of structural detail parts using drilling riveting and sheet metal fabrication techniques

  • Operate tools such as pneumatic drills countersinks rivet guns reamers and related equipment

  • Remove and install fasteners without damaging aircraft structures

  • Read and interpret work orders blueprints lofts sketches and operation sheets to determine proper sequence of work

  • Ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection

  • Assist team members by interpreting drawings engineering orders and installation instructions

  • Develop shop aids and methods to resolve production challenges

  • Maintain production documentation including MIR sheets DMTs Crabs and PCOs

  • Assemble structural components using jigs fixtures pins clamps and precision tooling

  • Perform rework and repairs based on DMTs MRRs and PCOs to ensure conformity

  • Maintain clean organized work areas and comply with 5S Lean and safety programs

  • Use required personal protective equipment

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Properly maintain and return company tools and equipment

  • Follow SOPs when operating ground support equipment

  • Safely dispose of hazardous materials including fuels oils and solvents

  • Maintain accurate aircraft job charging records

  • Support shift turnover communication and coordination

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 4 years of structural assembly experience

  • Basic computer and shop math skills

  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and use measurement scales

  • Skilled in close-tolerance structural work and use of specialty tools

  • Experience working with composite materials preferred

  • Ability to work any shift

  • Ability to climb ladders and stands work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

  • Q-Stamp certification preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
