Job Summary
Job Title: AWS Data Architect
Location: Clinton NJ
Duration: / Term: Contract
Experience Desired: 13 Years
Job Description:
- Overall 13 years in Data Engineering Data Architecture or Enterprise Data Platform roles
- At least 5 - 6 years in enterprise-level architecture and cloud modernization leadership
- At least 7 - 8 years in hands-on data development (ETL/ELT SQL modelling pipeline design)
- Architected modern cloud-based data platforms on AWS
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3 Glue Redshift Athena Lake Formation EMR)
- Hands-on architecture experience with:
- Amazon S3 Data lake storage design and lifecycle strategy
- AWS Glue Enterprise ETL/ELT orchestration
- Amazon Redshift Data warehouse architecture and performance optimization
- Amazon Athena Serverless analytics design
- AWS Lake Formation Governance and fine-grained access management
- Amazon EMR Distributed data processing frameworks
- Proven experience in cloud migration and multi-database environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance security and compliance frameworks.
- Designed and implemented enterprise-scale multi-zone data architectures (raw curated trusted layers)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have: Experience with BI tools (Quick Sight Reporting Tableau Looker) and self-service analytics.
Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (preferred)
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty (highly desirable)
- Any other cloud/data certifications (e.g. Snowflake GCP/Azure knowledge a plus)
